Dr. Jae You is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. His clinical expertise includes complex reconstruction and minimally invasive arthroscopic management of these joints. Additionally, he has a special interest in shoulder replacement surgery, shoulder and elbow injuries related to throwing, shoulder instability, and knee ligament reconstruction and joint cartilage restoration.
Born in Korea and raised in Hawaii, Dr You earned his medical degree at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, graduating with honors. During his fellowship at the University of California San Francisco he served as an assistant team physician for the San Francisco Giants, Cal Berkley men’s basketball, and the University of San Francisco’s NCAA Division 1 teams.
Dr. You understands the importance of being active at all stages of life. Using evidence-based medicine, his goal is to get his patients back to the life activities they enjoy as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Dr. You partners with his patients throughout their entire treatment and recovery process, working together to achieve positive results. He enjoys leading an active lifestyle, spending time with his wife, daughter and dog, exploring national parks, traveling to new countries and trying new cuisines.
