Professional Experience

Through an accelerated program at the Boston University, Dr. Singer obtained his B.A. degree and M.D. in just six years. Upon graduation in 1979, he received the prestigious Dean Tyler Award for having the highest academic standing in the University’s six-year accelerated class. Dr. Singer completed his surgical internship and one year of residency in general surgery at Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut. He subsequently entered the University of Hawaii Integrated Orthopaedic Residency Training Program. After completion of his residency, he fulfilled the one-year requirement for hand surgical training at Thomas Jefferson University. Following this, he also did a second year of fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, in microvascular and plastic surgeries.

Prior to joining Orthopedic Services Company LLP, Dr. Singer served for two years as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He was an attending surgeon for the division of Hand Surgery. Currently, Dr. Singer is an Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr. Singer’s area of expertise is both in hand surgery and orthopedic oncological surgery. He received his oncological training at the University of Florida, acting as a visiting resident with Dr. William Enneking.
